Formerly Cabaret Expose, it's a place for the gay guys of the village to relax and unwind somewhere that has a decidedly more mature theme than some other bars and clubs in the area. A Village institution since 1981, friendly sports bar Le Normandie on Atateken Street is a terrific local watering hole with cheap drinks and karaoke.

For events, plan around Fierté Montréal (Montréal Pride) in August, which brings parades, shows, community days, and packed nightlife in the Village. It houses everything from hiphop to cabaret, and there's a calmer rooftop pool, spa and mini restaurant to compliment the party. Late February to early March is also a good time for winter culture, with Montréal en Lumière and the city’s general festival energy, even if it’s not LGBTQ-specific.

Named for beloved Montreal drag icon Mado LamotteCabaret Mado has been packing them in since it opened in 2002.

They're a slightly cruisy crowd, enjoying adult themed videos that play on TVs throughout the venue and throughout the day. The bar is obviously popular with the guys, but there's also a weekly ladies night.
